Lawyers Too Busy For Love

Working long hours and having clients who could call at any given moment with a crisis make the prospect of finding time for a date a real challenge, if not an impossible feat. Who better to understand their plight than another lawyer?

At least, that's the theory behind Lawdate.com, an online dating service catering to single lawyers launched in August by The Dolce Network Inc.

“Dating is difficult in this 24/7 world, where BlackBerrys keep lawyers constantly connected to their clients and constantly in touch with the office."  For a monthly fee, lawyers can connect with other lawyers and even narrow their search by practice area, work habits and schedules. For those looking to meet someone outside the legal arena, the site also allows nonlegal professionals who are interested in meeting lawyers to join the network.
